Complete guide: Message trigger
1. What is it and what is it used for?
Mass messaging is a practical and efficient way to reach numerous contacts at once, ensuring fast communication and greater impact for your campaigns.
2. How to create a trigger campaign
To set up and send a campaign to a contact list, access the campaign sending menu by clicking the megaphone icon located in the sidebar. There, you will see a panel with all the campaigns already carried out.

To start a new one, follow the steps below:
- Click on create new campaign.
- Select an official channel tab (WhatsApp Business API), a mandatory step for the message to be delivered correctly.
- Choose the message template you will use. Now, when you select the template from the list, you will clearly see its category (marketing, utility, or authentication) next to the name. This helps ensure you are using the appropriate template for your strategy.

- Personalize the message body with the content of the email.
- Select the user responsible for running the campaign.
- Set the sending time, choosing between immediate or scheduled sending.
- Import your contacts by uploading your spreadsheet in .csv or .xlsx format.
- Specify whether you want to add an automatic label to all contacts who receive the message.
3. Review and confirmation of submission
To prevent accidental transmissions and unexpected credit consumption, the final stage of the trigger requires careful validation:
- On the final review screen, the system will again display a summary of the information, including the category tag of the selected template.

- When you click " Send message ," a confirmation modal will open on your screen. It will dynamically display the total number of contacts who will receive the message.
- In this same section, you will see a clear warning about the financial impact of the action.
- Review the data and click the primary " Confirm and send " button . The campaign will only start after this explicit confirmation.
4. Rules, limits and important observations
To ensure the success of your campaigns, pay attention to the following points:
- Platform limitations : the trigger allows sending to up to 20,000 contacts at a time, with the possibility of running simultaneous campaigns.
- Meta Limits : Sending messages to many contacts doesn't automatically mean your account has permission for that volume. Always respect WhatsApp's rules to avoid having your number banned. It's worth checking the limits set by Meta in Active Message Limits . More information about bans and other penalties can be found here.
- Use of templates : it is always mandatory to use an approved template, especially if the message is sent more than 24 hours after the last interaction with the client.
- Credits : To send mass messages, you need to purchase credits in advance on the platform (they are only debited when the contact receives the message).
- Database : Ensure your contact database is always up-to-date and organized to avoid errors or wasted credits.
